  1. Aaron says:

Dude, it even spilled over into their farm teams. We went to the Baysox game last night and the Connecticut Defenders (nee Norwich Navigators — is that the opposite of improvement or what?) ran it up: the final was 21-1. They scored so many in the 5th that they couldn’t fit the # of runs earned on the scoreboard (there’s only one digit for each inning) and had to start backfilling the additional runs into 4th. But don’t let the big board fool you: they got *15* in the 5th. A team record. The guy behind me was about ready to stitch concession stand napkins together into a flag.

But Isaac got to run the bases after the game, and there were cool fireworks, so it was all ok.
