Superintendent’s writing award: a correction

The editor-in-chief-of-Mashable Adam Ostrow tells me in comments that the author of “Insignificance in the Two Thousand Nineties” is not him but another, older Adam Ostrow. Sorry!

But it does give me a chance to add one remark to yesterday’s post — I was surprised to find that what what I wrote in 10th grade doesn’t sound, to me, like me. The only thing I recognize of myself is the word “concomitant,” which to this day I’m unreasonably proud whenever I deploy.
