I just had the extremely enjoyable experience of giving the Norbert Wiener lectures at Tufts. I’m not sure my talks lived up to the awesomeness of this poster:

The talks? No — though the Tufts PR office has an undergraduate intern who live-tweets all the public lectures!
Somehow, that’s not quite the same as a nice old-fashioned streaming video…
Sorry, Grandpa, bit-intensive streaming video is last decade’s trend. Your next book about sieve methods is going to be in 140-character chunks of text if you want the kids to read it.

So that’s the actual breakthrough in data compression everyone was trying to achieve by being clever with wavelets and what not…
